The Co-op and Barnardo's are hosting a charity walk, jog, or run in June to help raise money for vulnerable young people.

On 25th June between 11am and 4pm in Horsenden Hill, Co-op will be hosting a charity event where people can come and walk, run, or jog five kilometres to help raise money for Barnardo's, their partner charity.

The JustGiving page is targeting £3,000 from this event and is requesting a minimum donation of £10 from each participant.

On the JustGiving page it says: "The events of recent years have left over a third of young people feeling that the odds are stacked against them. We think young people deserve a better future, and so we have teamed up with Barnardo's to bring communities together to support young people.

"Co-op colleagues are walking, running, cycling and climbing to raise £5m over the next two and a half years to support 750,000 young people to access basic needs like food, manage their mental wellbeing and opportunities for their future.

"Help Co-op transform the lives of the UK's most vulnerable young people, together we can help thousands of families to build a better future."

The event is open to people of all ages to try and travel five kilometres in whichever way they choose and there will be other activities going on on the day, like Henna, beat the goalkeeper, and a raffle.

To sign up for the event go to the event page and to donate visit the JustGiving page.
