PHANTASIE: ENGLISH MUSIC FOR PIANO TRIO

A wonderful programme that brings together several British composers exploring musical directions at the start of the 20th century featuring works by Gustav Holst, Frederick Delius, Rebecca Clarke, John Ireland, and the little-known Kentish composer Percy Hilder Miles (who was Professor at the Royal Academy of Music and teacher of Rebecca Clarke), performed by Ensemble Kopernikus.

Ensemble Kopernikus - Kasia Ziminska (violin), Alice Purton (cello) and Ian Tindale (piano) - are an exciting young chamber group based in London, dedicated to exploring the rich and varied repertoire available for a variety of instrumentations. Praised for their 'imaginative and demanding' programmes, they combine well-known works with rarely performed gems. The ensemble is becoming known for their sharp attention to detail and energetic, lyrical interpretations.

Tickets: £15, £7.50 under 25s/students/unemployed, under 18s free.
