Hanwell Town were roundly beaten 3-1 at home against play-off chasing Swindon Supermarine in the Southern League Premier South.
Harry Williams scored late in the first half and then James Harding doubled the visitor's lead on the hour mark to put the visitors into a strong position.
Imran Kayani quickly pulled one back on his debut to give hope of a comeback, but that was shut down when Henry Spalding turned home with 20 minutes to play.
Defeat means that the Geordies have won just once in their last ten matches in the Southern League Premier South.
Isaac Olorunfemi forced Brad Hooper into an early stop as he flicked on an effort from Harry Rush, but the goalkeeper did well to react and make the save.
Kain Adom and Kayani then linked up as the former flicked a header on to send the debutant through on goal, but he flashed his shot over the top.
Shortly before the break Zak Kotwica played a beautiful pass into Williams, his touch took him round the 'keeper and then he rolled the ball into the back of the net to notch his 33rd goal of the season.
R'avan Constable nearly found the back of the net as the 'keeper took a free-kick and boomed it over the head of Hooper, the midfielder standing in as a makeshift goalkeeper, but the ball bounced just wide of the target.
On the hour mark Marine pieced together a fine team move up the field before Harding raced away from the back line and lashed a shot beyond Constable to get his 18th goal of the season in just 17 starts.
Hanwell went on the attack after this and saw Supermarine putting bodies on the line to block three chances in a row – an immense effort from the whole back line to stop the shots.
The Geordies eventually did pull a goal back as a ball in from deep saw Kayani meet the ball first and his header flew beyond Hooper and into the net to give the hosts a route back into the match.
But those hopes were not to last for long as whilst Hanwell pushed up for that equaliser they were caught in behind and Spalding arced the ball beyond the dive of Constable and into the far corner of the net to all but kill the game off.
A raft of substitutions proved to stunt both side's momentum in the game and aside from a Hanwell free-kick which ballooned over the top late on, the game fizzled out.
