Hanwell Town put in a creditable performance as they narrowly lost 2-1 against Ebbsfleet United to exit the FA Cup in the Third Qualifying Round.
Toby Edser opened the scoring for the visitors in the first half, before Rakish Bingham converted a penalty early in the second half.
The Geordies managed to stay in the game during the rest of the second period before Matthew MacKenzie scored from a corner in stoppage time to give the home crowd something to cheer about.
The loss means that Hanwell Town are out of this year's FA Cup, having progressed through two rounds of the competition to make this stage.
Hugo Sobte pulled off a marvellous early save to deny Bingham who let fly with a powerful strike after 11 minutes.
Hanwell could have taken the lead when the captain Harry Rush had a low shot which forced Ben Chapman to make a block and deflect it behind for a corner, which Ebbsfleet were able to clear.
After 20 minutes Ebbsfleet found the opener after Hanwell had initially cleared a corner but only as far as Edser, who took the ball down and skipped passed two defenders before firing home from 20 yards out to give the Fleet the lead.
Shaquile Coulthirst nearly made it a quick fire double when he went through four minutes later but he fired just wide of the post.
The chances kept coming as Omari Sterling-James set off on a great run and played the ball into Coulthirst but Calum Duffy got back in to make the block from close range.
Any hope of a second half fightback was extinguished as Edser was brought down by MacKenzie through on goal and Bingham tucked home the resulting penalty to give the Fleet a two-goal buffer.
Hanwell quickly responded and gave Ebbsfleet a scare as Sam Saunders delivered a free-kick onto the head of Dan Rowe and forced Mark Cousins to be at full stretch to deny him and push it around the post.
Coulthirst once again wasted an opportunity when Darren McQueen drove down the right and delivered it into the former-Tottenham striker only for him to send it over the bar.
Hanwell finally got the reward for their hard work in second half stoppage time as Saunders sent in a corner and MacKenzie rose highest to meet it and head into the net to give the score line a positive look for the Geordies.
