Hanwell Town were uncharacteristically blunt as they had a surprise 2-0 defeat away against North Leigh FC in the Southern League Premier South.
During a first half in which the Geordies failed to produce a shot on target, Aaron McCreadie and Levi Steele both scored late in the first period to give the Millers a two-goal lead.
Hanwell improved in the second half but failed to find the breakthrough and fell to a disappointing defeat.
That loss meant that Hanwell missed the chance to go third in the table and they have now failed to win their last two in the league.
Isaac Olorunfemi did well down the side inside ten minutes and picked out Shomari Barnwell, but he was unable to find anyone in the middle.
Mat MacKenzie hurled in a long throw not long after and Calum Duffy flicked it on, however Danny Rowe could only manage to send it over the bar.
Just before the half hour mark Hugo Sobte pulled off a remarkable save to deny North Leigh and then Jordan Thomas drove forwards for the hosts and clipped it into the far post but no one was on hand to get on the end of it as they began to trouble Hanwell.
After 37 minutes the opener came, the Millers hurled a throw down then line for a flick on to send Steele in behind and he stayed calm to set the ball back to McCreadie to send the ball firmly beyond Sobte in the Hanwell net.
One quickly became two as Hanwell once again failed to deal with a long throw up the line and it bounced over the defence to send two North Leigh attackers clean through on goal. Having put the first one on a plate for McCreadie, Steele was given his own tap in when Thomas rolled it across the keeper for him to tap into the unguarded net.
Two half-time changes from Chris Moore did bring about a semblance of a reaction but the Geordies continued to struggle to find a connection in the final third.
Eventually after 72 minutes Hanwell did have the ball in the back of the North Leigh net only for it to be ruled out for an offside as the Geordies frustration continued.
As Hanwell pushed for a goal late on gaps began to open up at the back and Jordan Alves rattled the bar from range for the Millers and Lance Williams also fired over the top in the closing stages.
