CATERING staff at Ealing schools have branded the council 'a disgrace' for failing to make sure they are paid the London Living Wage for the last eight years since it became an accredited living wage employer.
Michael Milne, an assistant cook, who is the standard paid minimum wage under the contract for Ealing Council, along with 300 colleagues, has accused the authority of 'failing them' and is calling for the workers to be paid London Living Wage or have the council's accreditation revoked.

AS the government continues to lift the lockdown measures in the UK, the shops in Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre are preparing to open their doors once again.
Non-essential favourite stores such as H&M, River Island and Primark will be opening again on Monday, April 12, with COVID-safety measures in place.

AS London's lockdown measures have eased, the London Bus Museum has announced it will be going ahead with the historical 'Route 65 Running Day' event.
The event, which will take place on Sunday, April 11, will comprise of two parts, the first being a free bus service from Ealing to Leatherhead and the second will be a road run with historic vehicles travelling along the 65-bus route.

THE Pop Up Gallery at Ealing Broadway shopping centre will be making a spectacular return, following last month's announcement that it would not be reopening once restrictions ease.
The gallery run by 1of1Design will instead be returning in a different, bigger site in the shopping centre, from Monday, April 12.
