LTN bollards are being removed at the moment

IN yet another twist in the Low Traffic Neighbourhood (LTN) saga in Ealing Borough, LTN21 in West Ealing and Hanwell has today been scrapped.

Following Hounslow Council's announcement that Swyncombe Avenue would be closed for the next two months, Ealing Council has decided to end the trial of LTN21 as it would otherwise be 'unworkable'.

Last year boroughs collectively spent more than £1.2billion on the homelessness crisis

HOMELESSNESS in London could reach its highest ever levels by Christmas, according to the body that represents councils in the capital.

London Councils said the city faces the 'most severe homelessness crisis' in the country and a 'triple whammy' of the government ending the eviction ban, COVID emergency funding and the furlough scheme over the coming months could see thousands more families pushed into temporary local authority-funded accommodation.

ONE of Ealing Hospital's longest serving volunteers has made her return after a year's enforced absence.

Beryl Carr who's 99 years old, enjoyed her first day out in more than a year when she caught up with colleagues at the Friend's Café, where she has volunteered for the past 17 years.
