Double murder suspect found in Ealing

A man wanted in connection with a double murder was found by police near Ferrymead Avenue, Ealing, just before 6pm last night.

Officers are "confident" the man is 49-year-old Lee Peacock who was seen at North Wembley station the evening two people were killed in Westminster, on 19 August.

Ealing litter-pickers had their hands full at Northolt Shell petrol station on Saturday collecting thousands of discarded plastic gloves.

An intensive two-hour clean-up operation was led by 10 volunteers from LAGER Can - the Litter Action Group for Ealing Residents - to gather the gloves, which were strewn around the White Hart Roundabout.

Many of us over the past week have been shocked and upset to see the Taliban take over Afghanistan. Knowing their history we can expect lots of deaths as the Taliban step up the search for "collaborators".

President Biden, who I would normally agree with, has clearly made a totally reckless decision in the way that he hungered for his troops withdrawal without clearly having a coherent exit plan. To now blame the Afghanis is very offensive.

Ealing Council to make two of its LTNs permanent

Ealing Council will be moving forward with plans to make 2 of its 9 Low-Traffic Neighbourhoods (LTNs) permanent despite opposition to the schemes from people living near them.

The Council is set to progress with the Adrienne Avenue LTN and the Deans Road and Montague Avenue LTN schemes, it revealed in a post on its website yesterday (16 August).
