Lib Dem Parliamentary Candidate calls on Dominic Raab to resign as an MP

The government inquiry concerning complaints made about Minister's behaviour found that Dominic Raab behaved in an intimidating and insulting way but he said it set the bar for bullying too low. The Prime Minister Rishi Sunak accepted Raab's resignation "with great sadness" rather than sacking him.

Alastair Mitton, Liberal Democrat Prospective Parliamentary Candidate (PPC) for Ealing Central and Acton said: "Liberal Democrats say that justice is finally meted out to Justice Secretary & Deputy PM Dominic Raab. As anyone who has been bullied knows it affects the very fabric of your being. Bullies are frequently narcissistic & devoid of empathy. He clearly has no place in public life & should now resign as an MP.

This sorry episode exposes the rot at the core of the Conservative Party. The fact that he was allowed to stand as a candidate, become a MP, become a minister & rise to be Deputy PM shows just how blinkered & entitled they are. They should go & make room for decency in politics."
