DESPITE many saying the elections in May could be delayed due to coronavirus, Luisa Porritt has continued to detail some of her policies to improve London if she became Mayor.

Many voters who voted for the current Mayor, Sadiq Khan, now say that he has failed to deliver on his promises.

Here are some policies that shows Luisa's leadership in these difficult times.

Turning offices that will no longer be needed and take advantage of this once in a lifetime opportunity to turn these spaces into quality, affordable homes.

Flexible working is here to stay.

London will always need offices, but not as many as before.

In Rotterdam, they managed to convert hundreds of offices without sacrificing on design or space standards.

If we get it right, not only will we make homes more affordable, but we will breathe new life into the centre - creating a new neighbourhood right in the heart of the city.

More locally as more people work from home, we need to work with every community to make sure the neighbourhoods in Ealing are ready for the future.

That's why she wants to reinvent the high street.

Instead of just retail shops, many areas will need co-working spaces to serve their flexible working population and new places to eat and drink so they can enjoy leisure time after work.

By listening to local people, this neighbourhood renewal could lead to the reopening of local police stations or building new youth centres.

London and Ealing should be the greenest city in the world but it can only do that by listening to the residents of Ealing.

But instead of introducing yet another target, I want to create a green roadmap - a practical plan for Ealing and London going green.

This would include much greater investment in electric vehicle charging points and to ensure all our buses are green buses.

The cladding scandal is potentially affecting many thousands of leaseholders and residents across Ealing.

Fire safety is essential, yet the current system in place to identify and remediate cladding and fire safety issues including dangerous cladding is not only perilously slow, presenting significant safety risks but is also leaving thousands of leaseholders facing financial ruin.

The complete lack of urgency and comprehensive action by the Government on this matter is unacceptable.
