Ealing boxer, Lewis 'Mighty Oak' Oakford, got his fifth career win on the weekend after defeating Robbie Chapman at York Hall, Bethnal Green.
This takes Oakford's record to five wins and zero losses in a bout that was decided on points, with Oakford winning 40-36 on Saturday, 23 March 2023.
Following the win, the boxer training out of BLASTFit Ealing, told Nub News: "It was easy work to be honest.
"He pretty much shelled up for the whole fight. I could have got him out of there at anytime, but I got the rounds and spared him
"Just needed that one more win to get to 5-0 now we can push for titles."
Robbie Chapman, better known as 'The Camden Caretaker', is an experienced super middleweight boxer who has a record of 11 wins and 35 losses but was fighting above his usual weight against Oakford who is a cruiserweight.
Oakford's trainer and owner of BLASTFit Ealing, Matthew Hirst, revealed to Nub News that he was impressed with his fighter's performance and revealed that 'bigger fights' are on the way.
"It was a controlled performance from Lewis," said Hirst.
"Robbie is a very experienced fighter but Lewis made him look average.
"We wanted to get the rounds in the bank as it's been a little while since we were last out.
"We now move onto bigger fights and we should have some very exciting news in the next few weeks so stay tuned."
