Watch cruiserweight Lewis 'Mighty Oak' Oakford fight tomorrow (25 November) against Phil Williams at York Hall, Bethnal Green at 6pm.

Fighting out of High Wycombe, but training out of BLAST Fit Studio in Hanger Lane with experienced boxing coach Matthew Hirst, this will be Oakford's fourth career fight.

Currently ranked 15th in the country with a 3-0 record, the 32-year-old is looking to break into the top 10 with tomorrow's bout.

Speaking to Nub News, Matthew Hirst compares his fighter to the great heavyweight fighters Mohammed Ali and Evander Holyfield.

Hirst said: "If you ask me what Lewis's boxing style is I would say he takes aspects from Muhammed Ali and Evander Holyfield as he is light on his feet and a great long range boxer but can mix it on the inside and throw great combinations."

Like the fighter, the coach is eager to secure a win tomorrow as it could mean Oakford would start breaking into televised fights.

The coach said: "You get a much bigger profile and that's when everyone starts knowing you, you start to make a lot more money and you get to be a champion.

"But that will come along with all the hard work that Lewis and I have been putting in."

The Mighty Oak's hard work has been with Hirst over the last two years at the coach's BLAST Fit Studio, which was voted Best Boutique Fitness Studio 2023 .

Hirst says his gym is "Ealing's best kept secret" where he has implemented his decades of boxing and personal training experience with the discipline he picked up from his time in the British Army.

From Durham, Hirst said: "Having spent many years working in luxury fitness facilities and seeing how corporate fitness works, I wanted the autonomy to create my own concepts and really listen to what members want.

"At BLAST you will be able to train like pro boxers with the same training and concepts I created."
