Brentford FC partners with global payment app in first of its kind deal

Brentford FC have signed a partnership agreement with the new international money app, Zing.  

Announced yesterday (29 August), Zing becomes the club's official international payments and remittance partner, with this being the brand's first partnership in sport. 

Part of the HSBC group, Zing is a free app available to UK residents aged over 18.

Zing focuses on making international money transactions worry-free by enabling users to hold money in over 20 currencies, send over 30 currencies, and spend across the world.

This is all managed through an easy-to-use app with real-time currency exchange rates and low fees.

Brentford say Zing's brand will be prominent across the Gtech Community Stadium and feature in content on club channels.

The company will also engage with the local community, through both the club and the Brentford FC Community Sports Trust and provide giveaways for fans enjoy during the season.  

Speaking on the new partnership, Fran Jones, Brentford's commercial director said: "Zing is an exciting company, with a bright future ahead and we're so pleased to be working with them as we continue in the 2024/25 Premier League season.

"Their innovative approach to international payments aligns perfectly with our club's forward-thinking philosophy.  

"We're honoured that Zing has chosen to take their first step into sports partnerships with Brentford. We believe this partnership can also create valuable opportunities for engagement within our community and look forward to seeing the positive impact we can have together both on and off the pitch."
