MORE than 80% of people in Ealing (81% to be exact) promise to be spontaneous this summer and just under that (79%) want to make lots of plans while they can, following the coronavirus pandemic, new research by Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre has found.

The study reveals that people in Ealing are planning to make the most of their summer after missing out on quality time with family and friends last summer.

Ealing shoplifter jailed for two weeks

A MAN has been jailed after being found guilty of shoplifting in West Ealing.

Mark Belgrave, 51, of no fixed abode, was sentenced to two weeks' imprisonment, which will run concurrently with a previous sentence of six weeks that had been suspended for a year.

MORE than 270 Ealing schoolchildren have taken part in a celebratory 'booknic' event aiming to inspire children to read.

The event was organised by Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre, in partnership with the National Literacy Trust and involved children enjoying a picnic and a book, while also taking part in a range of fun reading-themed activities.
