A hairy seven-legged arachnid featured in first-place as the overall winner at this year's Ealing Wildlife Photography competition.
Snapped in Warren Farm by amateur photographer and nature enthusiast, Julian Oliver, the spider, which had lost a leg, turned out to be a pretty special spotting.

A murder investigation is under way today after a teenager was stabbed to death in Southall, Hounslow.
Police were called to Raleigh Road, Southall at 21:07hrs on Wednesday (24 November) to reports of a stabbing.

Two brothers have been charged following a stabbing and a double shooting on Standard Road, Ealing earlier this month.
On Saturday, 6 November police were called to reports of a stabbing and shots fired in North Acton.

A 52-year-old man was arrested at an address in west London on Monday, 22 November by officers from the Met's Counter Terrorism Command.
The man was arrested on suspicion of collecting information likely to be useful to a person preparing an act of terrorism (contrary to Section 58 of the Terrorism Act 2000).

The much anticipated "Light up the Lane" (LUTL) event is back this Sunday for a celebration of Pitshanger and the local community.

A man from west London is due in court today charged with eight counts of terrorism offences.
Mohammad Zubair Khan, 21 was charged on Monday, 22 November with eight counts of dissemination of terrorist material (contrary to Section 2 of the Terrorism Act 2006).
