Strong winds of up to 100mph brought by Storm Eunice could endanger lives in London on Friday, forecasters have warned.
The Met Office has upgraded its weather warning from yellow to amber, forecasting "extremely strong winds" that could cause pandemonium including a "good chance" of power cuts, travel disruption and uprooted trees.

A library in nearby Greenford has been knocked down 11 years after the council spent nearly £550,000 fixing it up.
Wood End Library was demolished to make way for 11 flats, despite being refurbished as recently as 2011.

The dazzling show marked a welcome return to the stage after two years of Covid restrictions and virtual performances. Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat was an uplifting display of the best of St Benedict's music, dance and acting, with its much-loved musical numbers captivating the audience.
