A woman was rescued from a burning building by the London Fire Brigade in the early hours of Wednesday 5th April.

At 6.01am, the London Fire Brigade was called to a house on Carlyle Road in Ealing after reports of a house catching on fire and three fire engines and 15 firefighters attended the scene.

Half of the ground floor of the semi-detached house had been damaged by the fire and a woman had to be carried out of the building wearing a breathing apparatus and has been taken to hospital.

The fire was brought under control by 7.09am after work from fire crews from Ealing, Acton, and Chiswick.

The source of the fire is not yet known and remains under investigation by the London Fire Brigade.
