A woman has died and three others are injured after a crash between a Range Rover and a Tesla on the A40 in west London.

Emergency services were called to the crash near Park Royal Underground Station at 3.48am this morning (Monday, August 22) after reports of a collision between the two cars in which the Range Rover left the road and went onto the railway line.

Despite the efforts of emergency services, a woman inside the Range Rover died at the scene. Two other people inside the Range Rover, a man and a woman, were treated at the scene by paramedics then taken to hospital.

A woman who police believe was with the stationary Tesla was treated for injuries that have been assessed as non life-threatening.

The A40 and the Piccadilly Line in the area are closed and likely to remain so for a considerable period of time.

Commuters are advised to avoid travelling on these routes.
