FRIDAY:Lunchtime Ealing Mile in Lammas Park
The Ealing Mile is a mile road race held in Lammas Park, Ealing, and usually takes place at lunchtime on the first Friday of each month.
With its friendly atmosphere and community feel the lunchtime race is welcome for everyone to run, walk or jog the green and traffic-free course.
FRIDAY: An evening with Rock n Sol Getty Images photographer Solomon (Sol) N'Jie will talk about how he captured photos of iconic 80's bands, plus stories and encounters at the rock concerts. During the 1980s, Sol was responsible for the crowd safety management of spectators at various London venues where the world's leading artists and bands performed. At this unique event hosted in Ealing, he will provide an insight into how he was in a position to take iconic photos, some stories behind the lens and encounters with artists. The event is free however there is a venue crowd capacity limit so book your free ticket in advance. From 7:30pm at OPEN Ealing, Dickens Yard. More details here.SATURDAY: Winter Tree Walk at Boston Manor Park
Join Natural Park Manager of Boston Manor Park, Vanessa on a fun and free walk to find out about and identify our native and most common tree species in the park.
You can be a tree detective and use clues such as bark, seeds and buds to see if you can identify the trees.
Walk from 10.30am – 12, meet on the main lawn by the Manor House.
SUNDAY: Write without pressure, OPEN Ealing workshop Join Dr Poonam Madar to learn how start journaling and to write without pressure. This four week course is designed to help you build a gentle, sustainable and realistic journaling practice that you can maintain.
