Alcarras, Waterman's
For as long as they can remember, the Solé family have spent every summer picking the peaches from their orchard in the small Spanish village of Alcarràs. But this year's crop will be their last. The owner of the land is deceased, and his grandson and heir wants them to abandon the farming business so he can uproot the trees and install solar panels.
So as the family get together for the harvest, they find themselves at odds as to how they should go on, and risk losing more than their home... Inspired by Simon's own family story, ALCARRÀS is a story of relationships and the importance of unity, and tradition versus change.
There are multiple showings this weekend, book your tickets here.
Showing is at 1pm on Saturday 7th January. Get tickets here.
Watermans Arts Centre is the Ealing Nub News What's On sponsor. Without community-minded partners like Watermans we would not be able to produce the locally-relevant, clickbait-free news to the people of Ealing.
