Watermans is West London's arts centre and is open Wednesday to Sunday. See great films, live shows and exhibitions and discuss it all at the Guru, its unique bar and restaurant serving the best in drink, snacks and Indian dishes. In the cinema, take advantage of Wild Wednesdays – all cinema tickets £7 – all day on Wednesdays.

In the summer of 2014, Bernard Jordan (Michael Caine) made global headlines. He had staged a "great escape" from his care home to join fellow war veterans on a beach in Normandy, commemorating their fallen comrades at the D-Day Landings 70th anniversary, Bernie's adventure, spanning a mere 48 hours, also marked the culmination of his 60-year marriage to Rene (Glenda Jackson).

The future for the last remaining pub, The Old Oak in a village in the Northeast England, where people are leaving the land as the mines are closed. the pub becomes contested territory after the arrival of Syrian refugees who are placed in the village without any notice.

In an unlikely friendship TJ meets a curious young Syrian Yara [Ebla Mari]. Can they find a way for the two communities to understand each other?

Special Event Cinema: 

French Impressions: Smoking Causes Coughing (15) - Sat 14 October, Film Talk at 1pm; Film Screening at 2.30pm

Jon Davies will be looking at examples of the surreal in French cinema going back to the early days of cinema.

Followed by a screening of Smoking Causes Coughing - after a devastating battle against a diabolical turtle, a team of five avengers – known as the TOBACCO FORCE - is sent on a mandatory retreat to strengthen their decaying group cohesion.

The Magic of Kevin Spencer (6+ years) - Sunday 14 October, 3pm

The Magic of Kevin Spencer is a performance for people of all ages and abilities. It features award-winning magician Kevin Spencer in a fun-filled show that combines storytelling, stage magic, and audience participation.

Co_Sonic 1884 KM2, Robertina Šebjanič - Until 15 October (Excl. Mon & Tues), FREE.

Co_Sonic 1884 km2 is a visual-poetic reflection and an AI powered soundscape, that tells the story of the (co)existence of river environments and their inhabitants. The project brings us closer to the life of river flora and fauna, while drawing attention to the problematic nature of human control over the aquatic environment.
