[H3]Sunday: Walking Tour revisiting Greenford's past: From the Rising Sun to the Black Horse
For many local residents Greenford is a residential area, but until the C20 it was an agricultural area growing hay for the London market, and then changing to dairying.
At the same time from small beginnings with the opening of the William Perkin dyeworks in the 1850s, it also became an important industrial centre with the J. Lyons' Factory at its heart.
Join a walk lead by Dr Peter Hounsell, Chair of the Ealing Historical Association and co-author of "Ealing A Concise History".
