As more and more events are being organised locally Nub News is launching a new weekly round up of what's on in Ealing each weekend.

Every Thursday we will now bring you our top picks of the events in our  What's On section for the coming weekend.

And don't forget, if your business or organisation is running an event, you can advertise it for free with Ealing Nub News.

Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

1. Hootie on the Mount

Following on from the much anticipated Hootie in the Meadows last month, the Hanwell Hootie is back this weekend – in Acton!

Hootie on the Mount will offer a free day of music entertainment with live performances, as part the Love Ealing, Love Local events.

The free-to-attend event will run from 11am to 5pm at The Mount, W3 9NW on Saturday, October 9.

2. 'Above and Beyond' exhibition at Gunnersbury Park & Museum

If you're planning a trip to the park this weekend check out the exhibition 'Above & Beyond', which features artist Matt Small's painted portraits of footballers Raheem Sterling, Marcus Rashford and Ealing's own Bukayo Saka alongside their England manager Gareth Southgate.

The free exhibition will see the paintings displayed in the Rothschild Rooms from 12am to 4:30pm, 30 September to 31 October.

The exhibit seeks to show how we can all, 'go above and beyond the call of duty to make our society a more beautiful place to be'.

3. Recreating the Historic Interiors of Pitzhanger Manor

As part of London Craft Week 2021, Pitzhanger Manor and Gallery is holding an event to celebrate craft skills involved in Pitzhanger's restoration.

Specialist painters and decoratorsHare & Humphreys will be on hand to show visitors around the Manor.

Find out about the historic paint recreation, the marble detailing of the vestibule and the technical processes behind their work on these now stunningly re-imagined rooms.

Entry is free with general admission charge.

Event is from 11 am – 4 pm Saturday, October 9.
