W4 Youth Fundraising Tree launched at Rocks Lane Padel Tennis Social in support of W4 Youth

On 11 October the Rocks lane Padel Tennis Social in support of W4 Youth was well attended by both players and supporters. 

Chris Warren, the founder of Rocks Lane, attended the event and Aimee Fuller the two-time Olympian British snowboarder dropping by after her padel tennis game to say hello and pose for a photo opportunity. 

The W4 Youth Fundraising Tree was officially launched and W4 Youth & Rocks Lane look forward to raising money to expand the work of W4 Youth and to build a new youth and community centre in Southfield Recreation Ground for the young people and the wider community.

Sally Chacatté, W4 Youth Founder and Chair, said: "Massive thanks to Rocks Lane for this wonderful event and their continued support in our journey to expand the work we do with the young people in our community. 

"The W4 Youth Fundraising Tree is now located at Rocks Lane and we thank everyone for their donations supporting us to give more young people free activities and a place to belong."

Gary Malcolm, Local Councillor & W4 Youth Trustee, said: ""W4 Youth thank all those who have helped us over the past ten years. Our aim is to continue to provide a safe space, to bring out the star in everyone of us, enabling potential beyond the game and well into adulthood.

"As part of this we look forward to meeting residents and businesses in the community who can support us as funding partners to build a youth and community centre that will help young people with that safe space in years to come."

Chris Warren, Founder of Rocks Lane said: "I have fond memories of our local youth club in Yorkshire where I first picked up a racket and knocked a ball around and the rest is history… We want to give the opportunity to every child to pick up a racket, kick a ball or shoot a hoop.

"That's why at Rocks Lane we have partnered with W4 Youth to give every child a chance to play sport in a safe environment. Let's build a sports facility for all of the community to enjoy irrespective of background! The foundations are laid…"
