Van crashes into lamppost after colliding with car in South Ealing

A VAN has crashed into a lamppost following a collision with a car in South Ealing.

At around 4pm yesterday afternoon (July 8), a white van crashed into a lamppost on the corner of South Ealing Road and Popes Lane, after first colliding with another car.

No injuries were reported.

Marc Yonder, an eyewitness to the accident told Ealing Nub News: "Just before 4pm yesterday afternoon a white van was involved in a collision with a silver Mercedes car and some street furniture, leaving the road blocked.

"Police quickly attended to the scene, but no one was directing traffic."

A spokesperson for the Met told Ealing Nub News: "On Thursday July 8, at 3:58pm police were called to South Ealing Road at the junction with Popes Lane, to reports of a collision between a car and a van.

"No injuries were reported.

"Police assisted at the scene, managing the obstruction until the vehicles were removed a short time later."
