Top Writers Line Up for West London Book Festival

Tickets are still available for events at the 15th Chiswick Book Festival which takes place this coming weekend.

Torin Douglas, director of the Festival said: "This year we're delighted to have an exceptionally strong line-up which features a host of best-selling authors. If you're looking for something to do this weekend, Chiswick is the place to be."

Highlights of the 6-13 September Chiswick Book Festival include:

Acclaimed garden writer and broadcaster Alan Titchmarsh discussing his new book Chatsworth: Its Gardens and the People who Made Them with Rosie Fyles, Head of Gardens at Chiswick House & Gardens Trust.

Top TV journalist Clive Myrie in one of his very first public appearances will talk about his eagerly-awaited memoir Everything is Everything which is to be published on September 14th.

One of the world's best-loved children's writers, Jacqueline Wilson will present the long-awaited sequel to her book Sleepovers.

London Review of Books Author of the Month Michael Frayn is 90 this month and will be in conversation about in his moving collection of short essays Among Others: Friendships and Encounters.

Writer and TV producer Daisy Goodwin will chair a session with A.N. Wilson to discuss his new memoir Confessions: A Life of Failed Promises.

Renowned music writers and broadcasters David Hepworth and Mark Ellen talk about David's latest book Abbey Road - The World's Most Famous Recording Studio.

Joanna Quinn, author of this week's Times number one best-selling fiction paperback The Whalebone Theatre, will appear with her agent, editor, and her publicist to lead a workshop session called How Does a Book Get Published.

Broadcasters turned podcasters Jane Garvey and Rory Cellan-Jones (Ruskin Park: Sylvia, Me and the BBC) will discuss The Rise of the Podcast. And Downton Abbey actor Phyllis Logan will be recording one with Janet Ellis for Janet's hit series Twice Upon a Time.

Award-winning journalist and former BBC Newsnight presenter Gavin Esler, explores the themes of his new book Britain is Better Than This with Julian Worricker.

Two top thriller writers Ava Glass (The Traitor) and Victoria Segal (All the Little Liars) will host session called Writing Suspense: Keep the Pages Turning.

Former Dr Who actor Paul McGann will be reading from The Weimar Years with its author Frank McDonough

Other sessions feature Nadiya Hussain (Nadiya's Simple Spices), Peter Frankopan (The Earth Transformed), Louise Minchin (Fearless - Adventures with Extraordinary Women), Paterson Joseph (The Secret Diaries of Charles Ignatius Sancho), Tim Marshall (The Geopolitics of Space), Shaparak Khorsandi (Scatter Brain), Steve Richards (Turning Points), Greg Mosse (The Coming Darkness) and Jane Wellesley (Blue Eyes and a Wild Spirit: A Life of Dorothy Wellesley).
