Live in Ealing and Acton? Then you know that there are few places in the capital that do Christmas as well as we do.

From the traditional (when Father Christmas wore a completely different colour) to the eclectic (circus-themed Christmas dinner, anyone?) we've picked out 3 unmissable things to see, do and eat in Ealing and Acton this holiday season.

To see:

  1. Christmas ghost stories may have you thinking of Oliver Twist – but The White Carnation at Questor's Theatre is just as touching. It's a must-watch (along with the annual panto).
  2. Turkey and a trapeze? That's what to expect at The Aeronaut's Christmas Dinner + Circus Show: a full three-course meal, topped off with incredible feats of acrobatics.
  3. See Pitzhanger Manor's majestic halls thoroughly decked during Pitzhanger Lates - with carols, mince pies and wine aplenty in our borough's magnificent former stately home.

To Do:

  1. Part of a choir group or a band in search of a gig? Ealing Broadway Christmas Market has a stage to fill – so be the reason people stay just a bit longer over their cup of mulled wine.
  2. Step back into simpler times, when toys were made of wood, and Father Christmas was a lush shade of green. Make it a Christmas for the ages with a visit to Gunnersbury's Grotto
  3. Put your wellies and gloves on for Festivities at the Farm (Horsenden Farm, to be precise), with live music, pizza, goodies from The Horsenden Loaf and brews from Perivale Brewery

To Eat:

  1. What's spiced, soul-warming and just right for this time of year? Duck ramen. Make this special festive dish at Tonkotsu your newest Christmas tradition.
  2. Turkey with all the trimmings at The Fox, beef shin and chestnut mushroom pie at The New Inn and turkey, brie and bacon sliders at The Grange… you are spoilt for festive choices at three of Ealing's cosiest pubs.
  3. Enjoy a sweet wintry treat with none of the meat (or any animals, for that matter) with a warming, doughy cinnamon bun from Benji's Buns

We hope that this list from local property experts, Winkworth Ealing and Acton, will help you fill your festive calendar and enjoy the diverse range of attractions, cultural sites and shops that our wonderful community has to offer.
