1.Tom Jones - The Questors Theatre

About: Join the adventures of Tom Jones, the adopted son of an 18th Century English squire as love and mistaken identity lead to a series of hilarious escapades.

As he navigates the complexities of society and relationships, the tale satirises social conventions and class distinctions while celebrating the resilience of its spirited protagonist.

Funny and dramatic by turns, Tom's youthful recklessness brings him not only into the arms of a number of amorous women but also to the condemned cell.

Will his true heritage be finally revealed to save him? And will he finally marry his only true love Sophia?

When: Fri, 24 May to Sat, 1 June.

Where: 12 Mattock Ln, London W5 5BQ

Price: See website for prices

2.Medea - The Questors Theatre

About: Medea is wife to Jason. She was instrumental in his quest for the fleece, even killing her own brother. She now lives in exile where she has borne him two sons.

When he abandons her for a new wife Medea faces banishment. She begs for one day's grace. Time enough to exact an appalling revenge.

Amidst the tragedy of Ben Power's forceful adaptation, we see in Medea "a recognisable human being, alive with contradictions" (The Guardian, 2014).

This feminist retelling of Euripides' classic asks us difficult questions about gender, motherhood, and whether we can ever empathise with people who do terrible things.
