St Benedict’s School to host first women in leadership conference in Ealing
By Nub News Reporter 10th Feb 2026
St Benedict's School in Ealing is set to host its inaugural Women in Leadership Conference on Friday, 13 March 2026, bringing together educators, professionals and leaders from a range of sectors to explore how to advance gender equality in leadership.
Titled "Breaking Through: Advancing Gender Equality in Leadership", the conference will take place during the week of International Women's Day and marks a significant milestone in the school's commitment to values-led leadership, diversity and inclusion.
Hosted on site at St Benedict's, the event will celebrate women's achievements while also addressing the practical and systemic barriers that continue to limit progression into leadership roles.
Through keynote talks, workshops and networking sessions, attendees will be offered practical strategies to support women to step forward, lead with confidence and create meaningful change within their organisations.
Fiona Allen, Deputy Head (Academic) at St Benedict's School, said the conference reflects the school's ethos and wider mission.
She said: "At St Benedict's, we believe leadership should be thoughtful, values-led and inclusive. Our Spring Conference brings together voices from across sectors to share practical ideas, challenge thinking and support women to step forward and thrive as leaders.
"Timed to coincide with International Women's Week, it's an opportunity to reflect, connect and leave with real strategies to make lasting change."
The conference will feature keynote speakers including Nadia Nagamootoo, Founder and CEO of Avenir and author of Beyond Discomfort, who will speak on why the world needs more women leaders.
She will be joined by Katie Tomlinson, Head of Primary at the British School Manila and Co-Founder and Co-Chair of WISE (Women in International School Empowerment), and Pavita Cooper, campaigner, speaker and Chair of the 30% Club UK, which works to increase female representation at senior levels.
Sessions throughout the day will focus on leadership identity and self-awareness, overcoming bias and imposter syndrome, influencing and negotiating with confidence, and turning ideas into action.
Cross-sector networking will also form a key part of the programme.
The conference is open to professionals of all genders and industries who are committed to advancing gender equality, with a particular emphasis on education.
