A Freedom of Information request has revealed that Southall has the second most dangerous learner drivers in the United Kingdom.

Select Car Leasing released data from the DVLA to show how many points had been amassed by learner drivers across the country and found that 77,406 learners had earned points on their provisional licences.

Looking by geographical area, Southall had the second highest number of learner drivers who had earned points per thousand people, with 235 learners per 100,000 of the population having earned at least some points.

London dominated the top ten for locations, as alongside Southall; Ilford, London, Croydon, Harrow, Romford, and Enfield cracked the top ten, with London boroughs occupying all of the top six spots.

The data showed that males aged between 20 and 29 in the Greater London area are the most dangerous learner drivers in the country, with 25,488 licenses in this group having picked up points, six times as many as women of the same age.
