A 26-year-old from Southall is one of four men arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing in Paddington last weekend.

Police received reports of a group of people fighting with knives in Junction Mews, near Edgware Tube station, shortly after 6.30am on Saturday (June 11).

Officers attended the location and found a 28-year-old man suffering stab wounds. He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being transferred to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

Joseph Akapelwa, 26, of Healum Avenue, Southall, and 18-year-old Fadel Dabbous of Grendon Street, Marylebone, appeared in court on 13 June charged with attempted murder.

After a media appeal was issued for help to locate Steven Woods, the 25-year-old from Westminster was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Wednesday, June 15 and charged the following day.

Detectives have also charged 21-year-old Majid Kebire, of Kensington and Chelsea, with attempted murder and possession of a pointed/bladed article in a public place.
