A drug dealer from Southall has been jailed for five years and four months along with another drug dealer after being found with over £2 million worth of drugs.

Abol Boshor, 35, from Southall and Rajinder Kumar, 31, from Handsworth, Birmingham, were arrested on 14th November 2022 following an operation from the National Crime Agency and the Met Police Organised Crime Partnership.

On 14th November, the pair were seen talking in a van in West Bromwich for ten minutes before Boshor left in the van and was picked up by police ten minutes later on the M6, he tried to flee before realising his only escape route was a 50-metre drop to a railway line and gave himself up.

A search of the van uncovered 12 kilos of heroin with a street value of £1.2 million and a search of his home in Southall found another £44,000 in cash.

Kumar was arrested at the original location and a search of his car found six kilos of cocaine worth £900,000.

Both were arrested and charged and admitted conspiracy to supply heroin, Kumar also admitted to possession with intent to supply of cocaine and they both pleaded guilty at a hearing.

Matt McMillan, OCP Operations Manager, said: "Drugs fuel crime and exploitation and these lengthy sentences reflect the severity of Boshor and Kumar's offences. It should act as deterrent for those involved in the supply of drugs.

"We know that every organised crime group relies on cash flow. Disrupting their activity and intercepting the money that is so important to their business stops them from investing in other criminal activity and paying their own people.

"It also damages the trust and credibility with other criminal groups, making it harder for them to do business together in future.

"We will continue to pursue and bring to justice organised criminals working with partners and using all the tools available to us."

Kumar has been failed for eight years and Boshor has been jailed for five years and four months.
