After 55 years of serving the local community the South Ealing Playgroup will sadly run its last session on Friday 21 October 2022.

Playgroup didn't manage to financially recover from the impact of the pandemic and the parent run committee have been forced to take the difficult decision to close.

The South Ealing Playgroup and its dedicated team have helped to raise generations of young children. Two of the remaining employees have worked at the playgroup for over 14 years each.

The playgroup is a charity, it's run by a parent volunteer committee that are working to close the financial gap needed to pay redundancy for staff. They have set-up an online fundraising page and are holding a closing down sale on Saturday 12 November 2022 from 2-5pm at the Ealing Christadelphian Hall, Dorset Road, South Ealing, W5 4HX. All proceeds will go towards redundancy payments for staff.

Lara Correia, parent and chair of the South Ealing Playgroup said "it's very sad that we have to close. Both my girls attended playgroup, the team created a wonderfully inclusive and safe environment for children to learn through play, become more independent and interact with others. Please donate generously to help us support the staff."
