In June, Ofsted gave a Primary School a "good" rating following a recent inspection, despite picking up a "requires improvement" mark back in November 2019.

In the Ofsted report from 2019, it said that "the quality of education" and "leadership and management" at Hobbayne Primary School required improvement.

The 2019 report stated: "Leaders have made improvements to the school and are aware of what still needs to be done... However, in other subjects, including history, geography and science, leaders' planning does not make clear how lessons link together to help pupils know more and remember important facts."

In response to the 2019 report, Headteacher Mrs S Yoosuf said she was "extremely disappointed" but that "we (Hobbayne Primary School) are, of course, immediately addressing the report's action points."

In the most recent report however, the inspectors noted this about Hobbayne Primary School:

"Pupils are happy and kept safe here. This is because there are always adults to help them should they need it."

The 2023 report added: "Leaders have developed an ambitious curriculum that sets out the knowledge, skills and vocabulary that pupils need to understand from Nursery to Year 6.

"This ensures that pupils typically learn and remember the essential content and are well placed to access more complex learning over time."

Ealing Nub News has approached Hobbayne Primary School for comment.
