Plans submitted to Ealing Council to build nine homes on 'neglected' site in Hanwell
An application has been submitted to Ealing Council to construct nine, two storey homes in Golden Manor, Hanwell.
Following the demolition of the existing six flats, bungalow and outbuilding, applicants Red and White plan to build the new homes.
The site currently consists of a two-storey, detached building with six flats and a two bedroom bungalow with garage.
Developers, Red and White explain that the site has been "neglected" by the previous owners and has experienced squatters.
In its planning application, the developers say: "The redevelopment of the site would optimise its housing potential in line with the carrying capacity of the local neighbourhood within a built form reflective of the local built environment.
"The much needed family housing exceed the national space standards and 'best practice' space standards.
"Each dwelling provides high quality private amenity space with a mixture of gardens and terraces.
"The landscape proposals demonstrate the proposed high quality tree and planting to the private, communal and public realm spaces.
"The architectural approach of the development is sensitive to the existing street pattern and would harmonise within the locality."
