Person dies at Hanger Lane Station on Sunday

A person has died at Hanger Lane Underground Station on Sunday 12th February, believed to have been hit by a Central Line train. 

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 1:40pm on 12th February after reports of an incident on the tracks. 

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene after the emergency services arrived, and it is suspected that they were struck by a Central Line train. 

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said, "We were called at 1.41pm today (12 February) to reports of an incident at Hanger Lane Underground Station. 

"We sent a number of resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, a medic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and members of our hazardous area response team (HART). We also dispatched London's Air Ambulance. 

"Sadly, a person was pronounced dead at the scene." 

The Central Line was suspended between North Acton and Northolt for several hours while the incident was being seen to, but was then reopened later on. 

It is understood that the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
