A large part of Ealing will lose a bus route as the 427 bus has been shortened to only run to Southall and now does not go to Acton.

TfL announced that from 4th March the bus will be rerouted at Southall Town Hall via South Road and Southall Station to Merrick Road.

This means that the 427 will no longer run between Southall Town Hall and Acton, High Street and those using this route will now have to use either the 207 or 607.

A five-mile stretch running through Southall, Hanwell, West Ealing, Ealing, Ealing Common, and Acton will lose a third of their buses after this change.

TfL explained the reason for the decision on their website: "We will be making a big change to route 427 to improve local connections to the Elizabeth line in the Southall area."

The 427 bus is the seventh busiest in West London and carried over six million passengers during 2022, and this change will now make the 207, which was already the third busiest in West London, and the 607 even busier.
