A NEW Vietnamese eatery and cocktail bar has opened in Ealing.
TânVân, located at 17 The Green, opened its doors to the public for the first time on July 25.
Ran by two sisters, Erika and Elysia, they describe TânVân as more than just a place to eat.
They said: "We are a place to share, not just food, but love, memories, laughter.
"A place for your first date, a place to celebrate, a place to catch up with an old friend, a place for after-work drinks with your co-workers.
"Whoever you are, wherever you're from, we can assure you that this is the place for you."
The pair have grown up around restaurants their entire lives, with their mum opening her first restaurant in Shoreditch in 2000.
When their grandfather passed away earlier this year, their mother gave them the opportunity to open TânVân as a space to celebrate his life.
They said: "We are so grateful to have this space to express our own creativity and give life to our ideas.
"He was a very special person in our lives and continues to be in our hearts.
"He inspired us to create TânVân – the name comes from our grandfather who used to sign his letters with both his and our grandmother's names put together."
The eatery has a casual, laid-back, informal interior.
It has a wide range of Vietnamese dishes on offer, along with a fully functioning bar, that serves juice shots, beers and cocktails.
The music ranges from old-school 60s-70s soul Vietnamese Jazz during the day, to ambient house in the evenings.
The restaurant is open six days a week (excluding Mondays) from 11:30am-10:30pm Tuesdays to Thursdays, closing half an hour later on Fridays and Saturdays at 11pm, and an hour earlier on Sundays at 9pm.
