The Metropolitan Police are looking for donations for their Christmas Tree Appeal to help vulnerable children receive presents this Christmas.

The Met are working in partnership with The Childhood Trust to help vulnerable and disadvantaged children across London to receive presents.

This campaign was started in 2011 and since then donations have helped 133,645 presents have been gifted to children in the capital.

The present cost of living crisis has made this appeal more pertinent than ever, with gifts going to children in foster care, residential care homes, refuges, and very low-income households to give them something on Christmas Day.

People can make donations of presents or from the online gift shop and social workers will deliver the presents to the children's homes, and any remaining funds after all the children have received a gift will be used to give practical and emotional support for children throughout 2023.
