Meet the Ealing man revolutionising the pharmacy industry

RISHI Krishna has spent all his life in Ealing, first in Perivale and now Acton.
His background has always been in business and IT, owning a digital agency, whereas his wife is a doctor.
In 2015, she was choosing her specialty and she opted for acute hospital medicine over becoming a GP, partly because she did not want to spend large amounts of time simply filling out repeat prescriptions.
Krishna told Nub News: "She enjoys being challenged and often lots of GPs deal with very basic medical needs, which could be done by other members of the team."
That's when he decided to set up Pharmica, an online pharmacy that cuts out the need to see a GP for certain basic health needs.
With Pharmica, patients can go onto their website and fill out their online consultation questionnaire and then receive the medicine they need, similarly to a prescription from a GP.
Pharmica has an office in Central London, but customers don't have to go in for a consultation, everything is done online.
