Man charged with attempted murder following Perivale stabbing

A MAN has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing that took place in Perivale.

Police were called to reports of a stabbing in Teignmouth Gardens on Wednesday, June 9, just after 5pm.

They found a 38-year-old man with stab injuries who was subsequently taken to hospital and remains in a stable condition.

Ronald Thorpe, 54, of Teignmouth Gardens, was charged on Thursday, June 10, with attempted murder.

Another man, Gurdeep Bahra, 40, also of Teignmouth Gardens, was charged with common assault also on June 10.

Detectives are appealing to members of the public to come forward with any information they may have, by calling 101 or tweeting @MetCC and quoting the reference number CAD 5757/09Jun.
