Man arrested on suspicion of rape in Wormwood Scrubs

A man has been arrested on suspicion of rape reported to police last week.

The man, aged 36, was arrested yesterday (Tuesday, April 12) following a police appeal to find him.

His arrest relates to an incident of rape reported to have happened in Wormwood Scrubs, W12, on Thursday (April 7).

A woman reported she had been assaulted in a vehicle and police launched a public appeal to help locate the suspect.

The man was arrested after attending a police station in north London.

He remains in custody.
