A juvenile male has been detained in Northolt on suspicion of drug offences.

His arrest today (Tuesday, August 9) came about when he tried to flee police officers in the The West Area Violence Suppression Unit (VSU) as they conducted a routine patrol of the area in the early hours of the morning.

The police pursued the suspect as he tried to hide a large amount of Class A drugs and around £300 in a bush and detained him.

In a tweet at 1:59am today, Ealing police wrote: "#WestAreaVSU team 2 detained and arrested a juvenile male in #northolt earlier who made off from officers on foot. He tried to hide a large amount of Class A drugs and around £300 in a bush but was found by officers and arrested. #stopandsearch #alwayslooking"
