London College of Music graduate films latest music video in Ealing

A GRADUATE from the London College of Music has filmed the music video for her latest song in Ealing.

Myriam Cavalli is originally from Italy but has lived in Ealing for the past four years.

She graduated from the London College of Music with a degree in musical theatre last summer, while working part-time as a cashier at Pret a Manger in Ealing Broadway.

Since graduating however, she has left her job at the sandwich chain and has dedicated all her attention and time on working as a creator and performer.

Apart from singing, she also writes lyrics, acts, dances and models.

Her latest song - in collaboration with fellow musician, Gabrikaos - titled 'Big Space', was released on YouTube earlier this week, on February 15.

The indoor shots were filmed at her flat in South Ealing, while the outdoor shots were filmed in Boston Manor.

She told Nub News: "We filmed the music video during the second lockdown in November and couldn't really travel anywhere because of the restrictions.

"So we decided to stay local and film outside because we could maintain a safe distance between crew members and not that many people would be out and about during lockdown.

"Inside my flat I had to film all the shots by myself, as none of the crew members were allowed in my house due to the restrictions."

Cavalli doesn't like to stick just to one genre of music and enjoys trying different things, from jazz to pop, musical theatre and even electronic dance music (EDM).

"The inspiration for this song was EDM, Gabrikaos, my partner on 'Big Space' is heavily influenced by David Guetta.

"My part, the lyrics and the singing, reminds me more of Lady Gaga's alternative songs, the ones that aren't quite as mainstream."

Cavalli has her own YouTube channel that has generated over 20,000 views across all her videos, with 'Big Space' having over 600 at the time of writing.

"I'm very happy with the reception we've received so far, both for the song but also for the music video.

"It's lovely to have all your hard work appreciated, especially considering it took us around five months from start to finish to complete everything."
