The Fires Below, a heavy rock band from London, is set to release their latest EP titled 'Thorns' on Friday, 7 June.

Ealing local, lead singer and guitarist, Smithy, formed The Fires Below during the 2022 lockdown alongside Del on drums, Si on bass guitar, and Sam on electric guitar.

Fresh from their captivating performance at The Hanwell Hootie Music Festival, The Fires Below is ready to make their mark again with 'appealing heavy rook that hammer, shift and beat their way into your senses'.

The group quickly rose to international fame with their debut singles 'Normality' and 'Out to Destroy' back in 2022 and last year they solidified their standing in the British heavy rock genre with the release of their debut EP, 'Masquerade'.

Now, with 'Thorns', the band intends to take their musical journey to new heights.

Lead vocalist Smithy remarks: "With more experience, we've pushed ourselves creatively.

"This EP really plays to our strengths that we discovered playing live.

"We mix elements of punk, desert rock, alt-metal and djent for an intense yet melodic cocktail of riffs and emotion."

To celebrate the release of their new EP, the band is playing live at Camden Rock's All Dayer on Saturday, 15 June, at Fiddler's Elbow in Camden.
