Local elections: Full list of Ealing candidates
The local elections are less than a month away. On May 5, voters will go to the polls to choose the councillors that will represent them for the next four years.
In Ealing, a total of 264 candidates will be battling it out for 70 seats across 24 wards. This is a change from the last election where there were 69 seats available in 20 wards.
The Conservatives and Liberal Democrats are both putting forward 70 candidates, while the Labour Party are offering 67 candidates. There are also 30 Green candidates standing.
The Independent Network is putting forward 11 candidates, while the Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition is putting forward eight. There are three Labour and Co-operative Party candidates standing and two UKIP candidates.
The Social Democratic Party is putting forward one candidate while two candidates are standing as independents.
Issues high on the agenda for voters to consider include the recent introduction of Low Traffic Neighbourhoods into the borough, as well as how to address the need for social housing.
As a borough, Ealing suffers from high levels of pollution. How candidates propose to support the borough's green development may influence who comes out on top.
