Southall YAC saved from demolition to be refurbished instead

The Liberal Democrat opposition are welcoming Ealing Council's decision to keep the Young Adult Centre in Southall open. This decision reversal approved at Cabinet on Wednesday 19 May 2023 follows the opposition's campaigning to keep the essential community facilities open alongside local support. This decision sees a reversal in limiting services and the intended closure of the Centre.

Liberal Democrat Councillor Connie Hersch, Opposition Spokesperson on Policing & Communities

"The Liberal Democrats support the refreshed focus on refitting the building rather than demolishing it. We have campaigned on sustaining community assets and the Young Adult Centre in Southall is a cherished key community facility."
