Today is the last Friday you can get Caribbean food with an order of drinks at The Dodo Micropub.

Every Friday for the month of October, the Hanwell pub and Heart and Soul Caribbean Food, have been collaborating for Black History Month.

The Dodo Micropub said: "Just park yourself down at The Dodo with a drink or two, place your food order with us and as if by magic it shall arrive direct to your table!

The Heat and Soul Caribbean Food menu includes: Roti, wings, saltfish, dumplings, rum punch and more.

The Hanwell pub says that a big "shout out" should go to the owner behind the Caribbean restaurant, Joanne, who brings soul food to the local community.

"If I'm able to work half as hard as Joanne in my 'retirement era' then I'll be blessed and doing something right. She's a boss and her food brings so much joy", said The Dodo Micropub.

The local businesses have partnered together for the past six years so customers can expect more collaborations between the pub and restaurant in the near future.

The Dodo Micropub says not only is collaboration between local businesses important, but diversity and inclusion:

"The Dodo pop up and events this year have been POC (people of colour) or female led/owned! That's the kind of energy I'm proud to be putting out there! Diversity and equality matters!"
