Ealing's first indoor houseplant shop is on the move! But don't worry, they're not going far.

The independent houseplant provider has outgrown its currently location in the basement of Kanenas Coffee on The Grove.

Greenka will be moving to a new space on Oak Road, part of Ealing Broadway which is set to open on Saturday, 4 December - with this week their final one at Kanenas.

The business, set-up by Katy Marshall and Aysha Tahir, has been selling tropical houseplants, succulents and cacti in Ealing since 2018.

Aysha is excited to sow a new seed in the next chapter of their green adventure.

"We got a great opportunity to remain in Ealing and, having outgrown our cosy little shop in Kanenas, it's just time to move on to a bigger and better location," Aysha told Nub News.

"We were the first official houseplant shop in Ealing, and now we know we are finally going to stay."

In an Instagram post announcing their move, Aysha and Katy said: "We will have so much more space and be able to bring so much more to you our lovely customers.

"And we really do have the best customers because without you this wouldn't have been possible.

"We look forward to welcoming you all to our new shiny shop on the 4th December!"

The plant shop aims to contribute to a more sustainable environment through using eco-friendly products and packaging.

They also provide advice and tips for plant aftercare and information about their backgrounds, to ensure plants are kept alive and healthy for a long time.

Aysha's top tip on the business of plant moving:

"A good tip is try to bundle them together and also remember the light changes from one place to the other. It's important to remember in what light your plants will be happiest."

The Greenka website currently also features a Winter Care section with top tips on keeping your plants healthy through the cold months – including advice on placement, watering, humidity, light and pests.

They also stock a range of pots, prints and other plant accessories.

We wish Greenka good luck with the move.

Find Greenka on their website or on Instagram @_greenka.

The new store, opening 4 December, will be at 8 Oak Road, Ealing, W5 3SS.
