HS2 "will need to upgrade the gas mains" as part of upcoming HS2 tunnelling works in West Gate, Ealing.

It says it will divert the gas mains "to prevent it from being damaged in the future" before it starts their tunnelling work.

The gas diversion will run across the A40 and onto Brunswick Road. Phase one of these works will begin on 6 November 2023 and is due to be completed on 7 June 2024.

Still, HS2 expects these works will not be full finished until 4 November 2024.

The works will take place between 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 10pm to 6am.

HS2 says it will use noise reducing barriers where possible to help minimise noise disruption in the area.

There will also be closures to the foot path in West Gate and loading bay suspensions once works commence on 6 November 2023.
